The In-Pack machine has two stations but is pneumatically operated and is mounted on a mobile trolley. The pneumatic operation increases the output of the machine and allows cold formed aluminium blister packs to be produced by means of appropriate change parts. It is also possible to simulate strip packing on this machine for trials and pack stability tests by using special tooling. Again, the quality of the blister is indistinguishable from those made on a production machine and the system has a larger platen to give a wider range of pack size possibilities.
The tooling is simple and easy to fit and remove, requiring no tools. Changeovers to produce different sizes and styles of blisters are extremely straightforward, requiring relatively little special skills. The machines use pre-cut sheets of either thermoformable or all aluminium base material with conventional lidding also pre-cut to the appropriate size.
