Rotomac supplies a system to act as a buffer between the rewinding machines and downstream equipment. The roll accumulator can accommodate up to 130 rolls, equivalent to approximately three minutes production at the highest output speeds. Minor interruptions to the running of the downstream equipment does not necessarily require the rewinder to be stopped, or for rejected rolls to be manually put back into a production line. This increases efficiencies and reduces wear and tear on the rewinders by eliminating a lot of the starting and stopping of the machine.
Core Feeding Unit
The Rotomac core feeding unit is designed to feed cores to one or more rewinding machines from a central point, increasing storage capacity and reducing the frequency of operator intervention.
Depending on the diameter of the cores being run, between 1,300 and 3,500 can be loaded into the unit at any one time, ensuring that rewinding equipment is always fully stocked with enough for production needs.
Other Equipment Available
Other equipment available includes a range of both intermittent and continuous motion cartoners for rolls for feeding from one or more rewinder, or combinations of machines. High efficiency units using pre-glued skillets, these are flat unopened cartons which have been glued by the carton manufacturer so they can be erected to form an open rectangular tube for the product to be loaded into, with various systems available to give 3, 4 or 5 glue closure packs.
A top loading line for catering rolls; a system to erect e-flute cartons of varying designs, for catering rolls, feed the rolls discharging from a rewinding machines and load them into the cartons, then close and seal the packs with glue or self adhesive labels.
A range of economically priced traditional rewinding machines with simple controls and mechanical clutches with either four or six spindle systems.
Various roll wrapping systems, including flowwrapping, shrink wrapping and either semi or fully automatic case packing systems.
All these units can be integrated to give fully automatic roll production lines by Rotomac.
